Windows 8 Samsung tablets battery life and battery backup will be improved by Microsoft using Windows 8 power management techniques. Using Windows 8 power management features, Windows 8 tablets battery will last longer with enhanced backup time. Read this article to know about Samsung Windows 8 tablets battery life and steps to improve battery life and battery backup in Windows 8 Samsung tablets.
Windows 8 power management for strong battery life in Windows 8 tablets
In Windows Phone 7, the problem occurs with the battery life because battery life consumption is high in smart phones implemented with any operating system. When we make any comparison between Windows Phones, Android phones and Apple phones then it is Windows Phone among all which is having poor battery life. So, Microsoft this time comes with a power management module that looks forward for the Windows 8 battery life in tablets and smart phones.
Windows 8 battery life can be made better by designing it in such a way that it virtually looks perfect for transforming its functions from smart phone to PC. The key goal of it is to implement hardware platform for it that will keep energy efficiency to new level. It is tested on laptops, tablets and mobile devices so as to transform it on desktops and servers. Windows 8 power management team is working on electricity requirement of Windows 8 and making provision to ensure proper running of Windows 8 using power management strategies.
Windows 8 team made minor changes in Windows 8 coding, those results in a very positive impact on Windows 8 power consumption. It is due to increased electricity unit rate in many countries, which is putting more stress on Microsoft to reduce Windows 8 power consumption. It is PC, Laptops, tablets and mobile phones which are significant source of power consumption. So, Microsoft is making common run time environment for all these devices so as to run Windows 8 efficiently.
System software, application software and many other utilities programs make a big impact on power usage. The example of the same can be easily seen in mobile phones with operating system in which more than 80 percent of power is consumed by the system and application software. In comparison to simple GSM/CDMA phone, Phone with operating system losses its power with twice rate even though same number of programs are executed in both devices. Moreover, it is CPU, hard disk, memory and other components which consume power at rapid rate. In order to control power consumption in Windows 8 tablets, PC's and laptops, we have to manage both hardware and software effectively.
Steps of improving Windows 8 battery life using Windows 8 power management techniques
Microsoft is currently making changes in its design criteria with the goal of saving energy and this can be achieved as follows-
It is power efficiency which needs to be managed and we have to manage the power efficiency in all types of hardware devices such that whether we are using Windows phone or any other phone, the idea is to make a standardized common hardware device which consume same amount of power under different environment. The power consumption needs to be consistent at all levels.
Battery life needs to be improved so that charging can be performed much lesser in duration. In Windows phone 7, the battery backup is common issue because battery reduces energy at fast rate. So, Windows 8 is making a provision of strong battery backup so that Windows 8 power management feature can be easily achieved.
You can implement smartphone model to PC and tablet computing by making devices with less power consumption and this can be achieved by switching in and out low power mode which is available in Windows 8 features. These are the few techniques on which Microsoft is working to improve battery life of Windows 8 devices.
These all improvements will be carried out in Windows 8 operating system. Moreover, how to manage metro style apps model, ideal CPU activity and other power management frameworks will be included in Windows 8 Operating system. As we know that metro apps are responsible for periodic updates to your system by delivering news, e-mail and other updates. Microsoft implemented metro apps on foreground as well as on background such that when not required put them on background. This will reduce power consumption. For utilizing CPU ideal time, idle hygiene component is used in Windows 8 environment. Moreover, for effective power management environment, a separate framework will be included in Windows 8 drivers which will optimize energy usage.
Power management and battery computing will be important issue and Microsoft is taking right step to think beyond the scope of book and it will be good for Windows 8 tablets, laptops and PC’s.
