This article explains Microsoft zoom.it, a web application created using DeepZoom technology of Silverlight. It is used to create high resolution image of a given website and you can zoom the web site

Microsoft Live Labs will create innovate web applications to make the web better. Microsoft Live Labs launched recently and it has many product that will help online community to make the things simple are easier.

One of the Microsoft Live Labs products is Zoom.it which is free web application software. It is released recently by Microsoft Live to view the web sites pages in a smooth way by using Silverlight Technology.

Microsoft is promoting Silverlight to the next level by proving that it is capable of doing things without performance issues to the web browser.

Zoom.it will create a high resolution image from the web site and based on the URL given to the Zoom.it web application. The technology behind the scenes to create such a high resolution image is DeepZoom which is done by using Silverlight. Silverlight DeepZoom with capture the web site as a high resolution image and it will load the pages in the web browser without any performance issue to the users.

How can you create a high resolution image using Zoom.it

It is easy to create a high resolution image using Zoom.it Copy a web site URL and the URL should begin with http or https and Go to Zoom.it and paste or type the URL what you want to create a high resolution image and click the Create button will create the high resolution image and it will take some time to create in order to fetch the web site and convert the web site in to a high resolution image. Once the image is created you can zoom up the image to the maximum resolution (Check the below screenshot) .

In order to zoom the image by either scrolling the mouse up to zoom in to the picture or scroll down to zoom out of the picture. You can click the + button to zoom in to the image and - button to zoom out of the image. You can view the image in full screen by using the last button which is at the bottom of the page. Click the home button to stretch the image to the zoom.it window size. You can click and drag the image which is inside the zoom.it applications. Once the conversion is completed you can share the image to social networking sites. It will show the direct URL and also the script which can be embedded in any site (Check the below screen shot)

Below is the sample zoom.it sample which is created based on MWC home page and it is embedded using the given script when the high resolution image is created. You can modify the width and height of the embedded script
