As we know that USB stands for the Universal Serial bus which is used for providing connections to the hardware devices like keyboards, scanners, printers, webcams, digital cameras, mobile phones, and hard disk connected with the computer. The window 7 has provided with the feature that it will automatically recognize the USB devices.

The USB port increases the efficiency and speed of the hardware devices, as with the ordinary connector which has the round shape, the problem occurs with the pins when the devices are plugged not properly, as this will lead to the bending of the pins which in turns damage the hardware devices as the signals are not transferring from the CPU and no communication takes place between them. So, the need of the USB ports is realized which will eliminate this problem and support the tight connection between the devices.

Whenever you plugs anything with in the USB port then it will recognize it with in the few seconds and then automatically displays the option with in the main package of the My computer. Basically it is used for the flash drive which acts as the secondary storage device as it stores the data permanently and very flexible and you can take it to any location. But for the proper working of the USB, you can also requires the drivers for the working of the USB plugged devices as they will act as the interface between the hardware and the operating system.

Before the installation of the USB, you should use the instructions to install the drivers, because it is drivers through the help of which USB works. Sometimes, it may happen that manufacturer provides you with software, all you have to do is to check the compatibility of that software before installing.

* In some cases after proper plugging still not showing that USB is connected to your computer and then in that case firstly reboot the system and then check the information whether you need some extra software to have full compatibility with the USB devices.

* Sometimes, the updation of the driver is also required for the proper operation of the USB devices, as the database of the driver must be updated with the passage of time so that I will show full compatibility with the computer system.

* Always check for the Power whether the USB device is getting the enough power from the computer or not ?, if not getting the power then plug it in other port and look for the repairing of the power supply and check the connection through which the power is coming to the USB port.

How to disconnect a USB device?


Sometimes, after the completion of the data transfer between the memory of your computer and the USB flash, then the disconnect of the USB device is required but one thing that should always be taken in consideration is that while transferring any data firstly make sure that transfer of data must be completed and the data should save in the flash USB.

You can also recognize that device has finished the transfer of data from the light blinking with in the USB, in case USB is light emitted.

Otherwise go for theSafety remove and hardware icon that will displayed to you on your taskbar of the computer and that too on the right side of the taskbar, if the device and completed the transfer successfully then device required to be removed from the computer. In order to remove it from computer click on that icon and it will remove that USB and displaying a text message on the screen that is “It is now safe to remove the USB devices”.

In some cases it doesn’t allow the user to disconnect the USB, as the showing the error message that is “window doesn’t allow you to disconnect” and in that case firstly install the software that will cleans the infection from your computer and after cleaning it ,disconnect it from your computer.
