The Sticky Notes in
Windows 7
is a new feature which is useful for writing some notes like noting down phone numbers or write a to-do-list. the sticky notes is a best way to stick a reminder on your desktop. This article explains about Sticky Notes in detail.
Sticky note can be used with a tablet pen or a standard key board. If you use a tablet pen for sticky notes, you can just write the note where you want to write. If you use the key board, just click on the sticky notes where you want the text to appear, and start typing.
You can format the sticky notes in different ways. The text can be formatted, its color can be changed or resize the color of the text, underline the text etc. Let us see how a sticky notes looks in Windows 7. Here is a screen shot of Sticky notes.

To create a new sticky notes
: To create a new sticky notes, click on the Start button, and type 'Sticky Notes' in the search box. From the list of results click on 'Sticy Notes'. Now a new sticky notes will open up. If you want to create new sticky notes, you can click on the New note button which is shown in the screen shot above. A new note can also be created by pressing Ctrl+N.
How to delete a sticky note
: Once you do not want the sticky note that you created, you can delete it from your desktop. You just need to click on the 'Delete' button which is on the top right corner as shown in screen shot above. You can also delete the note by using Ctrl + D on your keyboard. Then a dialog box will prompt asking your confirmation whether to delete it or not. Click on 'Yes' to delete the notes.
How to change the background color of sticky note
: If you want to change the background color of a sticky note, you need to simply right-click on the note and select a color.
How to format a text in the sticky notes
: You can slso format the text that you typed in the sticky notes. You can change the text size, or add bullets to make a list etc. by using keyboard short cut keys.
Select the text that you want to format and use the keyboard short cut keys listed below to format the text.
Bold text
--> Ctrl + B
Italic text
--> Ctrl + I
Underline text
--> Ctrl + U
Strike Through text
--> Ctrl + T
Bullet list
--> Ctrl + Shift + L. ( you can press same combination again for a numbered list)
Increase text size
--> Ctrl + Shift + >
Decrease text size Ctrl + Shift + <
