Indian currency, Rupee gets a new symbol which is the combination of devanagri and roman scripts.
This new symbol signifies the strength and ambition of our country. Now the problem occurs that how to use this new symbol in computer. Here in this article you will learn how to use new symbol of Indian currency rupee.
Steps for using the new symbol of Indian Currency Rupee
1)
Download the Indian Rupee Symbol Font from the below link.
Font for Indian Currency Rupee new Symbol
2)
Now install the font. To install Copy the
Font
file to
Control Panel
-->Fonts Folder.
3)
Change the Font from the default
Times New Roman, Arial, Calibri
to
Rupees Foradian Font
.
4)
Type the Rupees Symbol in Microsoft Word through the grave accent symbol

which is the key just above "tab" button in your keyboard.
Now how to use Indian Rupee symbol in MS Word?
In MS Office 2002
1)
Select the symbol (ie. Just like you do while copy pasting anything)
2)
Click on
Tools
-->option, then click on
Auto correct
.
3)
In the Replace Text Box type in Rs.
4)
Click on
Add
, then click on
Ok
In MS Office 2007/2010
1)
If you want to add a formatted text entry, open the document that contains the text that is formatted the way that you want and select the Rupee Symbol.

Click the
Microsoft Office Button
, and then click
Word
option.
3)
Click
Proofing
.
4)
Click
AutoCorrect
option.
5)
In the Replace Text Box type in Rs. (You may also need to change the formatting from "Plain Text" to "Formatted Text")
6)
Click on
Add
then click on
Ok
.
That's it now you can use the Indian Currency Rupee new symbol in your computer.
