In this resource I will explain how to troubleshoot Broken MasterBootRecord in Windows 7 and Vista.

1.Insert Windows 7 or Vista CD in the cd drive.

2.Go to boot option by pressing F12 key when your computer starts.

3Click Next to continue the Boot Recovery.

4.Then click "Repair your Computer"

5.Then select your installed Operating System then click Next.

6.Now open the "Command Prompt" in the recovery windows.

7.Type the following Commands to fix the MasterBootRecord of your Windows here.

X:\Resources>bootrec.exe /fixmbr
X:\Resources>bootrec.exe /fixboot

8.Now remove the Windows cd or dvd and restart your computer.

You are done and have troubleshooted Broken MasterBootRecord in Windows 7 and Vista.
