We all know that to save a page in internet explorer, we use the option 'File->Save as'. But this saves the webpage as two files. In this article you will learn how to save a web page in a single page.
How to Save a web page in a single page
when ever you open a website and find some useful information in that
web page
and want to go through that page later on, you normally opt for
saving the web page
to read it later on.
Normally we all use '
File -> Save as
' option for
saving a web page
in internet explorer. Once you select 'File -> Save as' option, normally we select the save as type from the drop-down menu to Web Page complete (*.htm, *html) as shown below. By selecting this option, two files are saved - one is a folder containing the images etc. and the other is the HTML page.
Saving a webpage
like this as two pages can be avoided with a small trick if you are running Internet Explorer 5 or 6 or above versions. It is very simple to
save a web page as single page
by using the Save as feature. You just have to select
'File -> Save as'
and select 'Web archieve, single file(*.mht)' from the drop down menu as shown in the screen shot below.
MHT is a short form for 'Multipurpose Internet Mail Extension HTML' which is an archive feature that automatically puts everything - text, graphics, etc. - into a single file.
