This article is about the changing the color of window explorer bar half color. Step to change the window explorer bar half color.
If you are get bored of seeing the same colored window explorer bar. Then you can change the color of window explorer bar. If you want to change the color of window explorer bar. Then all you have to do is follow the below steps.
1) Right-click on the desktop and select on Properties.
2) Now click the tab Appearance. Now select the Windows XP Style option from the Windows and Buttons drop down list.
3) Now download resource hacker. You can get it from the below link Resource Hacker for Windows
After downloading, unzip the Reshack.zip folder and run reshack.exe
4) Now find the .dll file from the following path
C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes\Inspirat2\Shell\NormalColor
Here you will find shellstyle.dll. Open it with resource hacker.
5) Now expand the UIFILE (which is on the left side of reshack), then expand on 1 and then click on 1033
6) Now open Resource Hacker, click on File, then click on Find Text.
7) Now search for style resid=taskpane.
8) You will the three lines which you have to change:-
i) Change it:- background: rcbmp(120,6,0,0,0,1,0); borderthickness: rect(4,4,4,4); padding:- rect(4rp,4rp,0rp,0rp);
ii) Change into:- background: rcbmp(120,5,0,0,0,1,0); borderthickness: rect(8,8,8,2); padding:- rect(1rp,1rp,1rp,1rp);
Now save it and restart your computer. The color of windows explorer will be half colored.
