This article is about how to create an autorun file for CD/DVD in Windows.

If you want to create a small program and want to let it autorun when someone use your CD/DVD.
Whenever any person insert a CD/DVD in their system the program should autorun.
Then all you need to do is create a small file along with that program to autorun.

Suppose you have a abc.exe program and you want it to autorun along with the CD/DVD. Than you have to burn autorun.inf file along with abc.exe program in the Cd/DVD.

Autorun.inf is a simple test based program file. It order operating system to start it. To create an autorun file foe CD/DVD in windows follow the below steps:-

1) Open Notepad.

2) Type the following lines in it:-

[autorun] 

OPEN=XYZ.EXE

3) Now save it as Autorun.inf

4) Now burn the CD/DVD along with Autorun.inf file and the program.

Your Autorun file for CD/DVD in Windows is ready to use.
