In this resource I would like to introduce the steps for removing the games like Minesweeper, Pinball, Solitaire etc that comes along with Windows OS.
Removing default games from Windows XP Is your child addicted to playing FreeCell or Pinball? Do not get worried thinking of how to stop him. Now you will say, how do I not get worried. This is not a game that has been installed from a CD or an online downloaded game to uninstall it.
I agree with you that this game comes as we install the XP OS. Still, I say do not get worried. Happy now!!! Yes, you still have the option of removing these games from your system. FreeCell, Hearts, Minesweeper, Pinball, Solitaire, and Spider Solitaire are the games that comes along with Windows XP.
Below are the steps to be followed to remove these games from your system.
1) Place the Windows XP CD in the CD drive.
2) Click on Start.
3) Click on Control Panel.
4) Switch to category view if you are in classic view.
5) Double click on Add or Remove Programs.
6) Add or remove programs Window opens up.
7) Click on Add/Remove Windows Components on the left side pane.
8) Windows Components Wizard opens up.
9) Click on Accessories and Utilities and click on Details.
10) You will find that Games option has been checked here.
11) If you want to remove all the games uncheck the games box.
12) if you want to delete only few of the games then you need to click on games and click on details.This will take you to all the games available and you have to uncheck the boxes against the games that you want to delete.
13) Click on OK, OK and then Next.
Thats it , restart your computer if prompted for and your task of deletion is completed.
