Tips to increase the speed of Windows Vista

This article is about to increase the speed of Windows Vista.


Most of the people are using Microsoft Windows Vista. It might be that some of them are having the problem of speed or the performance of their system is low. So the point is how to increase the speed of Windows Vista.
Just follow these steps below to increase the speed of Windows Vista.

1) Delete unnecessary files :- Clean your computer by deleting the unnecessary files. You can do this by using the system tools option in accessories in windows vista.

2) Close all the animations: - Go to Start menu, type sysdm.cpl in search box.
Click on Continue when UAC window prompts, now click on Advanced tab and under performance click on Settings. Now uncheck the options which are unnecessary.

3) Turn off unnecessary services :- It is an important option in system. Turning off important services can create a problem for you. So be careful while turning off. You can turn off the unwanted service by clicking on Start option, go to RUN and type services.msc, click on Continue when UAC window is prompted.
Now right click on the services which you want to turn off. Click on Properties
Select the startup type option and disable the start up type.

4) Reduce some Start up processing :- click on Start, go to RUN type cmd. Now select those programs which you don't want to process at the time of start up.

5) Disable the sidebar :- Select the side bar and right click on it. Now click on Properties. Unselect the start sidebar.

6) You can use the application ready boost to increase the performance of your system.

7) You can edit or modify the registry of the windows to improve the performance. You can create the internet explorer on your desktop.
You can do this by clicking on Start, go to RUN, and type regedit and press enter.
Now go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel
and create the new DWORD by right click in that area.
Copy the below key name including the braces
{871C5380-42A0-1069-A2EA-08002B30309D}
Now close the regedit

8) Disable the Vista Menu :- By default the vista start menu is in sleep mode. You can shutdown it. Click on Control Panel; select the System and Maintenance click on Power Plan now select the advanced power settings option. Now select the start menu power button and change it to shutdown.
