How to create a system restore point in windows 7
The System restore is a feature that helps you to go to an earlier time in your computers. The system restore is one way to undo the system changes without affecting the personal data files.
When you install some programs or software packages, some times it creates a problem and cause the windows 7 to behave in a different manner. But if you uninstall the software, windows 7 may resume to normal. Some times the problem will remain. At this time, you need to try restoring your computer to earn earlier time.
The system restore feature was introduced in windows me. It is possible to create system restore points which contain information related to registry settings. Let us see how to create a new system restore point in windows 7.
It is a normal practice and recommended to create a system restore point before installing any new software.
Right click on 'My Computer' and goto properties.
Now click on 'System Protection'
Now you will see the system properties dialog box. click on 'Create'
You can give some description to your restore point so that you can remember the point at which it was created
It will take some time to create a restore point
Once systm restore point is created in your windows 7 computer, it is easy for you to revert back to this point if you face some problem after installation of some software package
