Here I would like to share with you a guide on, How to Fix Master Boot Record in Windows Vista with EasyBCD.
I recently had a problem with my Vista laptop, that does not start properly, that is it do not fully load Windows. I did some research and discovered that I had to do something with my MBR or Master Boot Record which may be corruptted. I did some research and found EasyBCD, a simple to use application that allows users, in changing the MBR.

It is first important to know what the MBR is and what it does. I could give a comprehensive explanation, but is not necessary, it is boring. I'll just say that the MBR is used to load Windows and if damaged or altered may affect how and when Windows loads (or any other operating system you are trying to load).
Well, I get an error message indicating that the MBR is corrupted in Vista and so Windows is not loaded. However I was able to boot in Safe Mode. Well that's where EasyBCD is in. It has an option to click to rewrite the MBR and various other tasks that you can choose to edit the MBR and I hope to correct it. It worked for me, so if you get this error, that may occur due to a problem because of the fact that MBR is damaged, so I suggest you try it.
You must first get EasyBCD. Once you've downloaded, install it on the computer, I used all the default settings. You do not have to worry about slowing down your PC because EasyBCD is nothing malicious and is certified by some of the most reliable download sites (like softpedia.com) from spyware and viruses.
Once installed, open the program, there a list of buttons on the left side to choose. We want to open the Manage Bootloader button. Now there are options in the window, the first thing you want to do is, save the current MBR given in the backup and restore the bootloader configuration, select the directory to save the MBR, then select Settings> backup. It give you a message saying it has been properly stored. Now you have a copy of the MBR that exists only in case, the next dose does not work, you can return to the state it is in.
Then you can choose the button label (Reinstall the Vista bootloader), then click Write MBR. The same type of system will come up allowing you to know that the process has succeeded. Now all you have to do is close the program, restart and check if the MBR is fixed.
If your master boot record is actually set to boot into Vista without any problems and if you can not see any errors due to corrupt MBR, you succeded.
