I will explain to you what is the role of the Emergency Boot diskette in the operating system working ?
Emergency Boot Disk
When you are going to troubleshoot your computer then the primary tool which is used in your tool kit is Emergency Boot diskette.
It is the bootable diskette that helps you to boot up the system when the normal boot process has failed.
It consists of several utilities programs that come with both DOS and window operating system, to repair or prepare the disk structure so that the boot process can be completed.
After a successful booting of system you can run the following basic drivers and the utility programs which even not run on your computer when your computer got struck with an infection or any other external species.
The various files and utility programs present in the Emergency boot diskette are following-
System Boot files (IO.Sys,MsDos.sys,Command.Com )
Himem.Sys
ATAPI CD-ROM drivers
SCSI drivers
MSC dex.exe
Fdisk.exe
Format.exe
Sys.com
Chkdsk.exe
Scan disk.exe
Mem.exe
Edit.com
This all are the utility and files present in the tool kit of yours while troubleshooting for any software fault.
