Some times you cannot change the user account control (UAC) settings in your windows 7 computer. This articles explains how we can fix the problem with UAC settings.
Why User Account Control (UAC) settings do not work in windows 7
The user account control (UAC) is a new secutiry feature in Windows 7. Sometimes when you click on OK button on user account control settings dialog box after making changes, the changes do not take effect. It does not respond even if you click on OK button after making changes. Let us see what is the problem?
You cannot believe that this problem is due to Office 97. If MS Office 97 is installed in Windows 7, it will not allow UAC setting to work. This issue was already confirmed by Microsoft and Microsoft has given a fix to this problem which requires to make changes to the registry.
Please note that by removing MS Office 97 does not fix the problem.
