This article explains how to adjust the sound balance between left and right speakers in windows 7 computer.
Adjusting sound balance between left and right speakers
One of my friend had a problem with his ear phone. The problem is that it does not produce a balanced sound output. The sound was more in one ear and less in another ear. It is a hardware problem but can be rectified in software. We can adjust the sound balance so that it can be heard equally in both ears.
It was very simple in earlier versions of windows to change the speaker balance. But in windows 7 it is a bit difficult to find the option. Let us see how we can change the sound balance in windows 7 computer.
Click on Start ->Control Panel. Now click on 'Hardware and Sound' as shown in screen shot below.
In the 'Hardware and Sound' dialog box that appears, click on 'Sound'. Now you will a sound dialog box as shown below. Click on 'Properties' as shown below.
Once you click on 'properties', you will see a 'Speakers proerties' dialog as shown above. Now click on 'levels' tab, and click on 'Balance' button as shown above. Once you click on 'Balance', you will see a dialog box to adjust the volume of left and right speakers as shown below. You can adjust the volume of individual speakers by moving the sliders of L or R.
