How to fix the problem of distorted sound from your windows 7 PC speakers


Some times we hear a distorted sound while playing a music file in your windows 7 computer. The sound may not be clear and some kind od crackling noise is heard while playing the audio. Let us see how to fix such problems.

  • First of all be sure that the speakers are connected properly to your computer. Most of the latest computers have three or more jacks. These are the microphone jack, line-in jack, line-out jack. The speakers should be connected to the line-out jack to get proper sound from your windows 7 computer.

  • If you are unable to make out which jack is line-out jack, then try to connect the speakers into each of the jacks to check if the sound is heard properly.

  • Some times the problem is with enabling optional speaker effects. You can disable these speaker enhancements and the problem may be solved. You may need to update your audio driver if the problem is solved by disabling the enhancements.


    • If the problem still persists, then you have to check the information that came along with the speakers or contact manufacturer.
