Google Docs a web based document processor Google introduced one more online tool to store the documents and view it in online. Google Account is enough to use the Google Docs Application. Using Google Docs you can upload Word processor, Spreadsheet, Presentation, forms, drawing and many more formats to its online storage. You can even create new documents and edit the documents in online. Google Docs provides 1 GB of free space. If you want more space for commercial use then you can buy 20 GB for $5.00 USD per year, 80 GB for $20.00 USD per year and many more plans are available.
Google Docs is available in Feb 2007 to Google users.
Google Docs came from two products. Spreadsheet and word processor are separate products which are owned by 2Web and Upstartle respectively. Upstartle is first company who launched the web based word processor in 2005. Later Google acquired Upstartle in 2006. Spreadsheet is originally developed by 2Web technologies and it acquired 2Web technologies and release Google Spreadsheet in 2006.

Google Docs is an office suite which contains Documents, Spreadsheet, Presentation, forms, Drawing and many more formats. All of those can be created in Google Docs and can be edited online. All the Google Docs documents will be stored in Google server. You can save the Documents in HTML, PDF, RTF and many more formats. Google Docs Document Google Docs service will be supported in Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Internet Explorer and supported operating systems are Windows, Mac OS and Linux. Google Apps supports most of the features that are supported in Microsoft word or Open Office. The Above tab shows Save, Print, Undo, Redo, Paste, Styles, Fonts, Size, Bold, Italic, Underline, Spell check and many more features as in work processor. Short cuts keys are also available.

You can create a document in online and you can save the file in online server and later you can save it to your location machine with different formats.
Google Docs Spreadsheet Spread sheet can be created in online and you can share with other through Email or you can publish the spread sheet as a web page and many more option available. Adding a new spread sheet , AutoSave , Formula and save the spread sheet in different formats such as Excel, Pdf, CSV, HTML, Text and Openoffice.

Mobile Google Docs allows mobile phones to access the Google Docs documents like word and spread sheet can be viewed, edited however you cannot edit PDF and openoffice documents. You can create a folder and you can share the folder with others in online.

Using GoogleTranslate you can translate to different languages in a spreadsheet, =GoogleTranslate ("Hola, Test","es","en"), this statement translates the text from (es) Spanish to (en) English. Whereas en and es are language codes that can be found in Google by typing "es language code". If you don't know what language, you can detect the language using =DetectLanguage("Hola","test") gives as "en".
