This article about creating the system restore point windows 7 and vista. Windows 7 automatically creates System Restore Point in a Periodic Time Interval. You can also manually create the system restore point.

First you should know what is Restore Point? Why it is needed?

System Restore Point contains information about registry settings, driver files installation and other system information that Windows 7 (Operating System) uses. It does not include your personal information. That is the file operations, making the documents etc.

Suddenly your system crashed out and does not load the windows means. You can use this System Restore Point to troubleshoot the windows files in the System Recovery Options.

Now follow the steps to create Restore Point :

*First Click the start button and Right click on the 'Computer' then select 'Properties'.

OR

* Use this shortcut:
Copy the following code without quotes 'Control Panel\System and Security\System' and paste it on the any Windows Explorer Address bar. (See the Figure)

* It will open "System Properties" Window. Here you can select 'System Protection' tab.

* Mostly Operating System Installed on the 'C:' But I installed in the Windows 7(L :)( System).
That's not the problem. Make sure that you turned on the system protection on the Operating system disk (for me Windows (L :)) or any disk you want to create Restore Point (See the figure).

*After you turned on System Protection. Click the 'Create' button to create to system restore point. (See the figure).

restore

*It will open the 'Create Restore Point' dialog Box. Here you should type Restore Point name. You can enter the date of the creation or something relevant to the need of Restore Point creation for identification.

*Now Restore point creation Begins, when it ends, Click Ok on window. That's it System Restore point is created.
