Enable and disable System Restore in Windows XP

Windows XP has a very useful feature: The System Restore. Hence, alterations or problem by resetting the computer to a previous stable state to undo. Other way around it is sometimes necessary to disable System Restore, for example in the fight against viruses, trojans or worms. But how to enable or disable this feature? Let us see in this article.
Enable or disable System Restore
By clicking the right mouse button on the icon you get the following menu.
From this menu choose the item
characteristics
as indicated by the red arrow (off).
It is now open

. There are several tabs with
settings and control options

We are interested in only the tab System Restore. After clicking the left mouse button tab, this also brought forward.
The red arrow indicates the box with the decision can be whether the System Restore is enabled or disabled. Of course drives is also a selection of the individual possible. Generally speaking, but the system drive on each case will be monitored.
In Settings you can also specify how much space for restore points will be reserved.
