Windows offers a great feature to start certain programs when you start programs. Some examples are your messenger applications, antivirus etc.
This article explains how to add a program to the Windows startup to start the program automaticlaly when Windows starts.
Steps to add a program to Windows 7 startup
Follow the steps below to add a program to Windows 7 startup.
- Go to the Windows Start menu.
- Click on "All Programs" to expand it.
- Locate the folder "Startup"
- Right click on the folder and select "Explore" or "Explore All Users". If you want the program to be added to the startup only for current user, then choose "Explore". If you want the program to be added to the startup for all users, then choose "Explore All Users".
- Now, locate the program you want to be launched at Windows start up. Right click and choose the option "Create shortcut"
