Google Chrome stable version is having many hidden and special features that is not known by many Google Chrome users. Some of the features are not available in any of the web browsers. We will see some of the amazing features

Task manager for web browsers

Task manager inside Google Chrome is one of the features. Inside Google Chrome press Shift+Esc button together to get the Task manager. Task manager will show the page name, Memory occupied by the each page, CPU time occupied by each page will be listed. Even you can see the other browser's memory usage by clicking the "Stats for nerds" which is at the bottom of the Google Chrome Task manager.

You can kill the individual pages by selecting the page and click the "End Process" button instead of closing the entire browser. You can see more options apart from the CPU time, Memory. Check the below picture for the Task manager.

Open the recently visited page

Open a tab by pressing Ctrl+T will show a new tab with recently opened pages. It will also show the frequently visited pages as a thumbnail preview. You can open the web sites by clicking the thumbnail preview. You can change the thumbnail view to list view also. We can change the page layout. Search Browser history

You can search the browser history by pressing ctrl+H will open the browsing history and you can search the browsing history by entering some string in the textbox and click "Search History" will show the matching web pages. Check the below image for the search browse history feature.

Pin a tab

Google Chrome provides a facility to pin the tabs will reduce the size of the tab and it will move to the left end of the browser. This will be useful when you opened more tabs or you never want to close a web site you can pin the tab. Check the below image of the pin tab.

Use the address bar to search Websites

If you already visited a search engine website like Google from Google Chrome browser, then next time Google Chrome will automatically identifies the site as a search engine and if you enter the site and press tab and then enter the string that you want to search and press enter will show the results. Check the below image
