Automatic Log On to Windows 7.

The boot process of Windows 7 can be speed up by configuring the system to automatically Log On to Windows PC without entering password.Automatic Log On process is having 2 benefits. Password is not required whenever you log in to your machine and the second benefit is boot process will be faster without waiting for the user input. This process is suitable only for a "Single handed system" and 'not suitable for Shared system" (as it involves risk) .

Steps to configure Windows 7 automatic Log On

Open Run dialog box (Shortcut key: Windows key + R)

Type control userpasswords2 in the dialog box and press Enter key. It will display Windows 7 "User Accounts" Window as displayed in the below picture.

In "User Accounts" Window the panel "Users of this computer:" will lists all users of the computer with User Names and its group name. Select the user which you want to make them to login to the system automatically and then "uncheck" the Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer option and click OK button as shown in the below picture.

Once OK button is clicked it will open a Window called " Automatically Log On" asking you to enter the password for the selected user, enter "Confirm password" and click "OK" button will save your password to the system. Henceforth your boot process is speeded up without entering the password.

Restart your PC and Log On to the Windows 7 machine without entering password.
