Actually the Hibernate mode is not much reliable. The system has to be shut down frequently. Sometimes when you are using a program and you are closing it, they don't close down properly and use resources. You will also have memory leaks that use up resources. The resources will be cleared only when your system is shut down. If you use it without shutting down, then your system will be overloaded with the memory leaks.
