Internet Explorer 9 platform preview 3

Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 is making headlines even before its beta release. Microsoft recently released its product preview 3 status on 23rd June 2010.The Beta version could be in August 2010 according to Microsoft site. Microsoft agreed to release an additional release once in every 8 weeks since its public announcement in March 2010.

What is new in Internet Explorer 9 Platform preview 3

Additional HTML5 support in IE 9 - Remember HTML5 still under development

Agreed to Support on CSS3 - It is not supported by most of the latest browser too

Additional Performance improvements in Java script engine

Scalable Vector Graphics 2(SVG) support

Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) powered Canvas and GPU powered audio and video to minimize the CPU work load - Microsoft works with NVIDIA and AMD/ATI for the CPU-GPU support.

XSLT Engine updagraded from version 3 version 6.

Partially implemented features are Canvas support, CSS 3 Fonts

IE Test Drive site shows the statistics and comparison of its IE 9 test results with other leading browsers shows IE 9 is a making good progress.

So far Microsoft Internet explorer 9 product preview 3 shows good signs of making IE 9 an 'Avatar' in web browser world.

Internet explorer 9 Product preview 4 release will be in another 8 weeks.
