How to create own Fast shutdown and/or Restart Button in Windows XP ?


Whenever we shutdown and/or restart the computer usually it takes time. May be it takes more time.
Depending upon the operating system we are using. But you can shutdown and/or restart your computer faster. Like never before.
All you have to do is simply follow these steps.

1) Go to Desktop. Right Click on the Desktop. Go to the New option.

Then go to the SHORTCUT and click it. See the image below.

2) You will see the window like the below one.

3) Now write shutdown -s -t 0 for shutdown in Location.
It means shutdown(space)-s(space)-t(space)0(Zero)

4) Now click on Next. Named it shutdown.exe

5) Then Click on Finish. That's it your own shutdown shortcut is ready to use.

You can change the icon for this shutdown.exe

6) Right Click the shutdown.exe and click on Properties and
then Click on Change Icon option.

7) Select the appropriate icon.

Then Click on Apply and then click on OK

Now see the own created fast shutdown button.

For Restart Button



All you have to do is instead of writing shutdown -s -t 0 for shutdown.
Write shutdown -r -t 0 for Restart.
It means shutdown(space)-r(space)-t(space)0(Zero)
And all other steps are the same.
