In windows 7, know to check the errors and clean your hard disk by reading this article.
Clean the hard disk
To make a little space on the hard drive by deleting unnecessary files and compressing files that are used only rarely, open the Control Panel double-clicking its icon on your desktop or via the Start menu and click on "System and Security" then "Free up disk space" in "Administrative Tools". In the dialog box that appears, select the drive to clean up (usually C:) and click "OK". The disk cleanup tool will search the files may be deleted or compressed to free up space on the disk. In the window that appears, then select the files to delete and click "OK" then "Delete Files".
Check for errors on the hard disk
Although less frequent with Windows 7 with Windows 98 or Windows XP, the "disk errors" still exist. They are due to poor management of system files or bad uninstalls software. They may be indicated by warning messages but also crashes that can cause loss of data. To avoid them, Windows has a disk checker, an internal software formerly called Scandisk.
To start, double-click the Computer icon on the desktop and click the right mouse button on the icon of the hard drive C: to choose "Properties". In the "Tools" tab of the window that appears, click "Check now", tick both boxes "Automatically fix file system errors" and "Scan for and attempt a recovery of bad sectors" and click Start.
A window will appear, telling you that the verification can be performed while Windows is running. Then click on "Planning the disk check" so that it launches automatically when you restart Windows 7. You can then choose to restart immediately or continue working normally until the next reboot.
This long takes often more than an hour and can not, for security reasons, be interrupted. Well, so plan when it occurs.
