IE 9 not working in my Windows XP

After reading a forum in mywindowsclub.com I had downloaded IE 9 and installed it. But Internet Explorer 9 browser is not compatible with the operating system Windows XP. I want to write my view about this surprising issue.

I understand that Microsoft wants to encourage users to upgrade to a new operating system (see Windows 7), but is not it a bit faster to force the hands of Internet users in this way?

Before explaining my surprise, I would like to clarify two points:

1: I like Windows 7. I actually wrote a positive review on this critical operating system in the fall. I believe that Windows 7 is an effective and intuitive, which offers serious improvements in user experience compared to Windows Vista.

2: Users must change their operating systems. It is a fact. Old systems are more susceptible to attack and they are less well equipped for the realities of today. With respect to viruses and attacks, this is particularly true with Windows because of its popularity.

That said, Windows XP is not THAT old as that, and especially if it was properly maintained, it is still current and should satisfy most users.

This incompatibility seems so forced. Not for the sake of users, but simply to sell more copies of Windows 7.

But considering that Windows XP is a good system that still runs on powerful computers, I'd kept a little discomfort.
