Mozilla Firefox: Tips and tricks for Firefox 3.6

In this resource I had given some tips to enhance your Firefox 3.6 experience.

Open links in the tab bar far right

In Firefox 3.6 as you may have observed when you click on a link of a web page the link opens to the right of the current page in order to keep related content neare by default.
If you do not want this to happen and want to open the links in the tab far right type about:config in mozilla search box click enter , you will get a warning which you will have to accept to proceed. Then look for preference browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent and set it to false.

Enable tab previews

If you want to see tabs thumbnails when switching tabs with Ctrl + Tab, set browser.ctrlTab.previews to true via about:config (access it by the same way as explained above)

If you want to convert the list all tabs button set browser.allTabs.previews to true via about:config.

If you want to quickly access the all tabs preview panel then press Shift + Ctrl + Tab.

Hide the menu bar

Now there is option to hide the the menu bar enabling the user to gain a few thousand pixels for the actual content. To do this right click on the menu bar and uncheck Menu Bar. If you want to show it temporarily, press the Alt key.
