Bored of double clicking or cannot double click. Go through my article below and you would be surprised to know the miracle of Mouse

Working with Mouse made Easier

Would you believe that there are many people who have an immense knowledge of all the latest computer software but find it very difficult to perform one small thing that is also related to computers. Do not break your heads. Here is the answer. The one small thing that I am referring to is double clicking a mouse.

Do not be surprised. It is a fact. I know many of you would not be surprised as you might have come across such people. In my house I too have a person who finds it quite difficult to double click the mouse to open a file or folder. So, the only option left out for such persons is to right click the folder and click once on open.

Now this process might sound tedious to al the people who can easily double click the mouse, but to people who cant double click, the above process seems a boon for them.

Now there is another good news that will sound interesting to both the class of people , double clickers and non double clickers. Wondering if there is any software for achieving the purpose. Absolutely not. There is an option available in Windows XP which allows us to the perform all the tasks that are performed by double click of a mouse with a single click.

Though we might be using the computer on a regular basis we never explore the options that OS provides for the users which at times turn out to do miracles.

Here are the steps to follow to change the double click feature of the mouse to single click. Let me guide you through the process which will avoid double clicking the mouse.

1) Click START and click on MY COMPUTER.

2) On the menu bar of My Computer go to Tools Option

3) Under the Tools option click on Folder Options which is at the end of Tools Option.

4) Here you have to check the option Single-click to open an item(point to select)

5) Click on OK.

Now your mouse settings have been modified and you can single click on any folder or file to open it.

The other question that might arise is what if i need to select an item as if I single click it would open rather than selecting.

The answer is hidden in the option selected in the MY FOLDER options.

To select an item just point your mouse to it for few fraction of seconds.

As simple as it sounds. No harm in trying it out even if you double click easily. This proves to be challenging to get habituated. Happy clicking.
