Windows Easy Transfer as the name suggest is a program or utility provided by Microsoft to transfer all the important information on your system to an external device like had disk pr pen drive or any other memory device and vice versa.

This program can be run on systems hosting OS versions starting from Windows XP and higher.

Using Windows Easy Transfer we can transfer photos, videos, music files, documents, email messages, user accounts and its settings, windows configuration settings in registry, application configuration files and settings.

As mentioned data can be transferred to pen drives, external hard disk etc. The different methods that are used for this purpose are using a USB - USB cable or over a wireless/wired network. Data cannot be transferred to floppy disk using this program.

The limitations of this program are that the transfer cannot take between 32 bit and 64 bit OS.
