Want to open folders and files just by single clicking on it. Then this article will help you. In this article I will give you the detailed procedure for opening files and folders with single click.

Single click to open your files and folders

Are you bored of double clicking to open an item in Windows. If yes then you can just single click to open your files folders or other items. Just follow the simple steps below,

1. Open My Computer or Windows Explorer. Then in the menu bar select the Tools menu. Then select the Folder Option...

So the path is My Computer/Windows explorer-->Tools-->Folder Options

2. In the "General" tab locate "Click items as follows", the second group.

Here you will find two options, "Single click to open an item(point to select)" and "Double click to open an item(double click to select)". You wi find the second options as the default.

3. Then select the option "Single click to open an item(point to select)". Under this there are two more options,

If you select this option you will find underline in every icon after applying the changes.

4. Now you are done. Click on the Apply button.

For any assistant click on the help link "How do I change folder option?". Click on the Restore Defaults to set the default values.
