When a lot of blogs start appearing on a particular topic like a controversy, result or any other situation it is reffered to as blogstorm.

Who coined the term blog

John Barger coined the term Weblog in 1997. Later on the term blog was coined by Peter Merholz. At the same time Blogger was developed by Pyra Labs.Later google purchased blogger in 2003 and launched blogspot.com, a very popular blogsite.

Importance of blogs

Blog is a very nice medium for an internet user to express himself. Moreover one can give his unbiased opinions using a blog. Blog can also be used for promotion of products and services.Most important thing is that blogs can also be a good source of income too.
