Telnet is a very valuable tool even though it is losing the popularity. The telnet client is not installed by default in Windows 7. In this article I have discussed the steps to install the Telnet Client in Windows 7.

Telnet is a very valuable tool even though it is losing the popularity now a days. The telnet client is not installed by default in Windows 7. We need to enable it in Windows 7. Let us see the steps involved in enabling Telnet in Windows 7. Please follow the following steps to install Telnet client in indows 7 Computer.

First click on Start button

Next select Control Panel

Next slect Programs

Next select Programs And Features

Now click on Turn Windows features on or off

Now check Telnet Client

You can see a screen Shot below.

Now Click on OK button

Wait for the “Please Wait…” box

Once you follow above mentioned steps, you will be able to access telnet from the command prompt.
